Sad News – Val Kilmer’s final Instagram post before his death saw him don a Batman mask.

Just weeks before his passing at 65, Val Kilmer shared a touching and nostalgic Instagram post that left fans reminiscing about his legendary career.
The actor, who died after a battle with pneumonia, gave the world a final glimpse of his iconic Batman persona, which had earned him a place in pop culture history.
In the heartfelt video shared with his 645,000 Instagram followers, Kilmer sat beside a painting of Batman that he had created himself. With a smile, he declared he was “ready” before donning the Batman mask for what would be his last time.
“It’s been a while,” Kilmer joked, returning to his beloved role in front of the camera for a final, symbolic moment.
The actor was joined by artist David Choe, who praised Kilmer’s appearance, saying, “You look great in that mask.” Kilmer’s appearance in Batman Forever (1995) remains one of his most celebrated performances, cementing his place in superhero movie history.
Kilmer was cast as Batman after Michael Keaton dropped out of the role, and the movie went on to gross over $336 million. Reflecting on the project, Kilmer once told Entertainment Tonight his thoughts.
