Johnny Depp surprises children with a hospital visit in Spain disguised as Jack Sparrow
Actor Johnny Depp put on his pirate costume again to visit this Thursday, as Jack Sparrow, the children admitted to the Donostia University Hospital in San Sebastian.
Depp, one of the big stars present at the 72nd edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival, visited the pediatric and oncology floors of the San Sebastian public health center to chat, laugh and play with the hospitalized children, the Basque Health Service said in a statement.
He has done so as Jack Sparrow, the biting protagonist of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ saga, who has chatted with the children and their families, with whom he has been photographed, to help them “forget for a few minutes the difficulties they are going through at this time”.
His presence in the hospital “has cheered up the patients, families and health personnel” who were working in the San Sebastian center during this shift, explained Osakidetza.
