Chaos at Microsoft: two workers fired for… See more

Microsoft had unexpected consequences on the day it celebrated its 50th anniversary. A day eagerly awaited by all members of the technology company, which ended abruptly, specifically with the dismissal of two of its workers.
One of these employees was engineer Ibtihal Aboussad, who was doing her work in the artificial intelligence section. In the dismissal document, to which CNBC had access, the company argued that this decision was made for “just cause, willful misconduct, disobedience or negligence of duty.”
The other worker who has been left out of Microsoft is Vaniya Agrawal, who was in the same division as the previous employee. She submitted her resignation on April 11 and the technology company announced that “has decided to make her resignation effective immediately today”.
The engineer’s protest that led to her dismissal: “Microsoft has blood on its hands”
It all happened during the speech of Microsoft’s AI CEO, Mustafa Suleyam, when Aboussad burst in from the audience shouting the reason for his protest: “Mustafa, shame on you. You claim to care about using AI for good, but Microsoft sells AI weapons to the Israeli military. 50,000 have died, and Microsoft is driving this genocide in our region (…) You have blood on your hands. All of Microsoft has blood on its hands.”
